Voice

Intimate and immediate, oral histories are direct documentaries, preserving stories in the first person and capturing the nuances of the narrator’s vocal inflection, personality, and style of speaking that are lost when stories filter down through the generations or are translated to print.

We employ professional quality audio equipment to record clean, crisp sound of our interview sessions then edit them together to create a seamless audio portrait of the narrator. Oral history recordings may also incorporate music, found sound from your own analog or digital audio source, and documentary field recordings made by request. The final piece is preserved on archival gold CDs/DVDs and may be duplicated in quantities as few as five copies.
